Happy end

Happy end

According to the statistics the healthcare in Warsaw is one of the worst in Europe. My grandpa recently died in Holland, in a house were the conditions were terrible. The people who work there didn’t have time to give the elderly any attention, all because of the cuttings of the government. The Dutch healthcare system used to be one of the best of Europe; I don’t think this is the case anymore. I was looking for a better place for the elderly, and I knew that I could find it in Warsaw, because the Polish people are known for their ability to care. Family traditions are really important. 95 percent of the elderly are being taken care by the family. Only 5 percent of the families use external ways of taking care of elders. The house I visited is a private social assistance house, named Willa Miracle. And this house hopefully will become the standard for the future,

not only for Poland but also for the rest of Europe. Because I think caring isn’t only about health, it’s also about attention. It’s that special moment of attention that makes it worth living. In Warsaw they care.
